President Emeritus
John Neece worked with the local labor movement in various capacities
for over 30 years. From 1979 through 2001, he served as CEO of the Santa
Clara & San Benito Building & Construction Trades Council. This
position led him to participate in various community programs and most
major fundraising efforts taking place in Santa Clara County. In
addition, he has served on the boards of organizations throughout
Silicon Valley. Under his leadership, the Building & Trades Council
grew from a membership of 8,000 to 30,000 and has become a strong
political force in San Jose and the South Bay. Mr. Neece has played a role in dozens of political campaigns, from state-wide races down to countywide and city council races. He serves on the board for the Valley Medical Center Foundation and the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, and is a trustee for the National Hispanic University. |
